Meetings

Participation!

Lockdown does afford more flexibility! The sun was shining, and as only Wendy and I were meeting, we had a short walk of a couple of miles or so round local lanes, discussing Passover, Pentecost, and their fulfilment and relevance to us personally today. Back home, the meeting started late. It was Pentecost, and we sang ‘Holy Spirit, we welcome …

ETHOS IN PRACTICE

Liberty continues! Part of our ethos is that we come together in a way that enables each person to participate, bring what the Lord’s given them, use their gifting and GROW. So Wendy and I use zoom and other electronic apps for fellowship and prayer, but – not for Church meeting. We praise, worship pray, read scriptures, share revelations, break …

GROW!

There are three things I would like people to know during this pandemic – FIRSTLY – God is in control. He says so in scripture, and He demonstrates this in many ways, not least in the fulfilment of prophetic words He has inspired. Look at the restoration of Israel after two thousand years. That has not happened to any other …

DURING LOCKDOWN!

Greetings to all members of Liberty – and those who attend irregularly and occasionally. During lockdown, Wendy and I continue to worship at Crossways. Just like Sundays always were – but there are just two of us. There are Zoom and live streaming meetings from so many churches, though the two of us here have our own meeting. Sitting, or …

Live Ministry!

We miss meeting with those who share our values, vision, and love for the Lord. In days when many churches ‘put on a good show’, we have for several years had a simple time of worship and ministry where all are encouraged to participate – and grow! Sunday mornings, Wendy and I continue to have worship and ministry. We worship, …

Prayer – and anointing!

I love the people of God. I once told a friend  that my greatest joys, AND my greatest griefs, were in the Church. “Of course,” he replied. “That’s because we are family.” For Wendy and myself (Barrie), life has been a little unsettling recently, with church, businessmen and family issues needing to be addressed. So how lovely when people email or …

Praise, Prayer and Word

Always good to meet to worship with other believers. Powerful prayer from Marcus, that the Presence of God would descend, and that we would experience Jesus in our midst. Barry H largely recovered from shingles, and Shirlene back from the USA. Great praise – always! Thank you Tim for leading us in breaking bread together, for testimony from Anne, and …

Return to Go!

Weather, sickness and the recent mini-exodus left us lonely yesterday (Sunday) morning. Barry H still has shingles, Tim had surgery this week and cannot drive for a while, and another emailed with gall bladder problems. Marcus was preaching elsewhere. Shirlene is back from the USA, but with the gales, trees were down and she was best at home. So Wendy …

Goodbye!

People are leaving us! We are so sorry to say Goodbye to Malcolm and Moira, and thank them for many years of input, support, love and friendship. We wish them well at Soul Church, an excellent place to be. This morning saw a few more people than we expected. As usual, praise, worship, prayer, communion, and so many people participating. …

Presence!

With several regulars away, on holiday or tending sick relations, it was a joy to have Cliff and Sue with us on Sunday morning. They had been before, to our Christmas meeting. Thank you to them for sharing into the meeting, and to Tim for leading us in breaking bread together, and for praying for my ear. (Which is improving …
