Divine Fragrance

Last Sunday, a couple from Cornwall, who were staying with us, attended Liberty. On Thursday evening, we spent time chatting and praying together prior to their departure early the next morning.

Attending Liberty was one of the two significant happenings during their stay. (The other was having a meaningful and enjoyable evening with their future daughter-in-law). Liberty was significant because –

  1. They were impacted by the presence of God. It was a milestone experience, drawing them into renewed commitment.
  2. They were struck with a fragrance in the room. It was not someone’s perfume, but a manifestation of the Lord’s presence amongst us.

Mike and Gill’s words blessed and encouraged us. Being here every Sunday, we can overlook how special our times are, and how blessed with the presence of Jesus.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
