Thank you, Marcus!

It was good to have Marcus and Lesley Philpott with us this morning. We are always blessed through the ministry of Marcus, and this morning was no exception.

Around 15 gathered, with Bob leading in praise and worship. Thank you to those who shared scriptures (Michelle, Barry H, and Frank), a word of encouragement (Cliff), testimony (Bob) a prophetic word (Lesley)

and started a worship song (Wendy L) – and so much more. Shirlene led us in communion.

Marcus spoke from Mark 14.1-11. It was the story of Mary anointing Jesus with the precious ointment. The story is sandwiched between two others – the Pharisees plotting to kill Jesus, and Judas Iscariot agreeing to betray him. A contrast.

Mary was accused of wasting the oil, but those who really want to know true blessing from the Lord, need to waste themselves on Him. To give themselves completely to Jesus in worship. That would be a key to seeing real miracles in our forthcoming healing meetings.

Wendy gave us a superb lunch, and people stayed well into the afternoon, chatting and laughing, and enjoying good fellowship.

The prayer meeting this week is at Catfield on Wednesday, and we meet in Frettenham again next Sunday morning.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
