Be Encouraged!

I love the joy in the fellowship. Almost everyone comes really early in order to chat, catchup and laugh together.

We are about to start, and someone says, “Can I just give a testimony?” That happens so often, and gives us even more to praise God for. It happened this morning. Wonderful – thank you to Connie.

No-one was asked to lead communion, but Michelle stepped forward, and it was a previous time.

We prayed for those absent – holidays, sicknesses, etc.

We looked at the parables of mustard seed and leaven (yeast), from Luke 13:18-21. Both start small. Both grow.

My Christian life had a small beginning, of kneeling and accepting Christ. I had no idea where it would lead, but the difference over the years has been big. It led to an amazing new life. Look for opportunities to share testimony with people. It’s like planting a mustard seed. It could bring huge changes in a person’s life.

The mustard seed is small. But the potential is enormous. Our God makes things grow. What is He doing in your life? Don’t despair if it’s currently a small thing. He says, “Don’t despise the day of small things!” Zech.4:10. Whether it’s an individual or a fellowship or a mission or a ‘call upon a life’ or…. He will complete what He has started, Phil.1:6. Be encouraged.

Our next meeting is the prayer meeting on Thursday 2pm in Catfield, and next Sunday morning at Frettenham.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
