Parties!

What a weekend, with a house full on both Saturday and Sunday. It was great to have Trevor and Linda Galpin with us. They had led the church we were members of in Aylsham back in the 80s and 90s. We grew from around 50 to 300 at that time, and eventually bought a disused bus station and refurbished it. Years of outstanding growth, and outstanding leadership, in a rural Norfolk town.

Liberty people, plus many old friends of Trevor and Linda, gathered here for an afternoon tea party on Saturday. How does Wendy manage such a spread! It was a fab time of friendship and fellowship, with 20-30 gathered.

Sunday morning saw us with a room full. There were guests we knew were coming, and some were just a lovely surprise. The room was full of praise, worship, and the presence of God. Malcolm led communion, and Trevor spoke on the love of the Father, experienced by Jesus, communicated to us with the invitation for us to experience it too. Like Jesus did.

Over 20 stayed for lunch. Again, how does Wendy manage such a spread! It was Barry H’s 79th birthday, and a cake and amazing musical candle appeared.

Our next meeting is next Sunday morning, usual time, usual place. Our prayer meetings are Tuesdays at two in Catfield.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
