Gifts in operation – love it!

Despite extremely inclement weather and a number of members with health issues, a room full of people sang praises to God that must have been heard in the nearby village. Prophecy, tongues and interpretation were in operation, and unusually, a period of silence when there was a quiet sense of awe at the presence of God.

Thank you to Tim for leading us in breaking bread together, and to Marcus for sharing the word of God. Having said that, most people participated, and Wendy and Jessica taught the children about the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to Wendy for a roast lunch, including topside of beef.

Our next meeting is next Sunday, 17th March, 10.15am for 10.30am. All welcome, and lunch afterwards.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
