Father’s Day!

It was Father’s Day, and one couple found family arrangements impinged upon their church time; another couple are in France sorting out a late brother’s property; another was ill; another was preaching in Norwich…. but the children were with us, which is always delightful.

Thank you to Stephanie for leading us in breaking bread, and to everyone present for contributing into the meeting. It’s always Father’s day, and we worshipped Him for all He does for us.

Wendy took the children out for their own time, and we enjoyed chilli con carne and spaghetti Bolognese for lunch.

Next meeting is next Sunday – same time, same place. Don’t forget – and do stay to lunch.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
