Contrasts!

Last Sunday, 28th April, guest speaker David Adams, preached a storm, and Wendy cooked a lunch to match! There were around 20 present. It was so good to see Nick (he works long hours) and Craig was probably a third-timer. Thank you to Malcolm for testimony and leading communion.

And then we made a dash for the car, as we were due in Gloucester for dinner.

This week was a contrast, with the bank holiday calling people away. It was so good to have Emma with us again. Thank you to Cliff for leading communion, and Barry H for speaking. ‘It was evening’ – but Jesus and his disciples  went to work preaching and healing. For many of us, it is ‘evening’ (we’re old!), but there is still work to do. Don’t ease up.

Shirlene is having eye surgery next Saturday 11th May. We laid hands on her and prayed for total restoration of vision.

Our next meeting is the Thursday prayer meeting at Catfield, and next Sunday we are at Frettenham.

On Sunday 19th, the meeting will be at Catfield. Please let Shirlene know if you are going. Please give more than 24 hours notice (!), though all are welcome anyway.

Our next guest speaker is Marcus Philpott on 26th May, with a Liberty Lunch to follow.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
