Call the Police!

One of the members of Norwich FGB, Bob Waters, was speaking in our church this morning, and recalled that some years ago, there was an FGB Advance in the south of England. Towards the end of the worship time, the police arrived in force. Apparently, they had received a phone call to say that there was some sort of hold-up at the hotel, “Because,” said the caller, “they are all standing with their hands in the air.” Praise the Lord!

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
