Walking, Talking, Praying!

Monday 21st December 2020

Dear Liberty people.

How did you handle yesterday (Sunday)? Feel free to share on our site, and perhaps inspire the rest of us into more creative worship.

You may recall that the previous Sunday, Wendy and I walked round the village, chatted with around 14 people (socially distanced) in groups of twos, threes and fours. We only witnessed to two, and nothing too spiritual. Let’s just say a foundation was laid. Then we returned home to worship.

Yesterday, the sun was shining, and we again strolled round the village, and then the lanes.

We had two lengthy conversations with couples we had never met before. Nothing spiritual, but we now have relationship. One couple will be invited round to a party or dinner when restrictions are lifted.

Back at Crossways, we sang praises and worship to our Heavenly Father, before having communion, and remembering that He will return, as per 1 Thessalonians 4, which we read.

We then read about salvation being a free gift, from Ephesians 2, and reminded ourselves that this gift us there for any of the people we meet on our walks.

We prayed for Liberty people and those we had met in the lanes, and closed with more worship.

Happy Christmas!

Barrie and Wendy
