Wait on the Lord!

I must confess that I prefer a room full, to a room half full. Or half empty. Having said that, there were times in our early days when just one or two would come, and they would share very openly about hurts and issues in an environment where they felt comfortable, and we could help them.

This Sunday was a room reasonably full, and it was great to have Faye with us (her second time here in Frettenham, though she has been to our fellowship in Catfield as well). Frank brought Alfie along, which is always good, and shared the scriptures of the parable of the sower. There were requests for prayer from Sheila T (health) and from Harold W (visa problems), and these were covered, together with prayer for David (staying in the UK), and his wife, Sylvia (back in South Korea, awaiting the birth of their first child).

Thank you to Bob, for leading worship, and numerous contributions from those present. Thank you to Barry H for leading communion, with ministry on the red heifer.

I shared briefly from Hebrews 11:6, where we are told that the Lord rewards those who diligently seek him. With both believers and unbelievers present, I asked myself, and others, whether we diligently seek him. Let us each do so this week. He will reward. He will give us something to bring next Sunday! Wait on the Lord without distraction – and he will reward you.

Next week, Steve Mott will be speaking, and praying for the sick. Bring friends, and bring the sick. Everyone is invited to lunch – do join us.
