With a few couples unable to be with us, we expected a smaller meeting. So how good to have Jilly and Alan with us again (just keep on coming), Sam (Shirlene’s daughter) and Winston from London. It would have been tight if all regulars had come too.

We were still feeling somewhat emotional from the memorial service for Shirlene’s son Chris the previous day (Saturday). That service in Catfield Village Hall was an inspiring time. Thank you to Shirlene for putting together an anointed service.

Bob and Connie could not be with us, so I led worship again.

There were several words, gifts, prayers, etc from those assembled. We prayed for 2 or 3 sick people. Alan and Jilly led communion, and Barry H spoke from Acts 22. Paul continued waiting, or journeying, etc. until the Lord said, “Go”. We need to listen for “Go”, and move in the call the Lord has for us, using the gifting He gives us.

There was chocolate gateau and cream, brought from the previous days reception.

Next meeting – prayer meeting at Catfield 2pm Thursday.

Next worship meeting – next Sunday, Frettenham.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
