Victory!

There was a buzz of excitement before the meeting even started. Was it expectation of really meeting with God – Victory! -, or was it the fact that Norwich city football team had gained promotion to the premier league? Victory! “Pray for Ipswich!” brought howls of laughter.

It was almost a record attendance, and it was hot in the room. It’s unusual to bring in so many extra chairs, and every corner seemed filled with praise. So many shared scriptures and testimony, and as usual the gifts of the Holy Spirit were in operation. Joe led us in breaking bread, Barry H shared from Psalms, Billy shared from the notices, with humour. Others prayed, testified, encouraged.

Wendy took the children out and they learnt Bible truth from the story of Hannah.

Shepherd’s pie, chicken pie, lasagna, and cold chicken with salads was provided by Wendy L. There was the usual jollity, mirth and fellowship around the table.

Our next meeting is in Frettenham next Sunday. All welcome.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
