The Lamb of God!

What a week! Connie’s funeral Monday, and her celebration on Tuesday. Both events were so well attended. Thank you to all who attended and participated.

A contrast this morning. Mark working, Barry recovering from surgery…. but well done Bob, for leading us to a heavenly place. Everyone contributed, and we reflected on Passover in Exodus 12, seeing the Person of Jesus – the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. The lamb was spotless, and without blemish. The lamb was perfect. The lamb was innocent. The lamb was a substitute for sin, and for the sinner. It was slaughtered, and gave its life. We broke bread.

Later, most stayed for roast pork and everything that makes a Sunday roast special. Thank you Wendy.

Next Sunday morning, we are meeting in Frettenham.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
