Testimonies and Romans 12

Bob took a break from leading worship, and the understudy (me) stepped in. We were sad to hear that Margaret Cornell had gone to be with Jesus, and thanked God for a life well-lived. Living near Ely, we had not seen Margaret for a year or more, but loved her visits.

Barry testified about his collapse on a recent park run, and having a pace maker now. Bob shared testimony from Terry Waters, who recently spoke at a meeting, whilst feeling so ill, and saw 7 respond to his gospel call. Then he was taken to hospital, where more responded to his witness – before discharging him. Ann asked for prayer re her walking, after testifying to people being on hand to help her when she went for a walk recently and got stuck.

Shirlene led us in breaking bread. Barry H spoke on Romans 12, and was very practical. This chapter is teaching for Christians on everyday life. It is not for the nations, eg. to forgive. It is for individual Christians. It covers so much, and all relevant to each of us. So many people prayed.

Next meeting, prayer on Thursday, 2pm Catfield.

Next week we meet in Frettenham.

Our next Liberty Lunch is on Sunday 20th, when Gill Bonner is speaking.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
