Psalm 119.

It was great to be meeting again Sunday (yesterday). Having been to Cumbria during the week, we had missed the prayer meeting and fellowship, so Sunday was good!

Thank you to all who participated, including Ann, who shared at the beginning, from Isaiah 55. God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours.

Mark and Michelle led communion, and Barry H then spoke from the opening verses of Psalm 119. We are blessed if we are in relationship with God, and he imputes righteousness to us, but we are then beholden to live righteous lives. But we need to know just how the Lord expects us to live, and therefore we need to read his word. Barry spoke about a time when he had cycled from Norfolk to Geneva and back, and his bike broke when in Geneva. Although not a Christian, he prayed, and a string of ‘coincidences’ happened. Barry brought such basic teaching out from these opening verses of psalm 119, and pointed out there value of learning scripture verses.

Next Sunday we will have Marcus and Lesley Philpott with us, and there will be a Liberty Lunch to which all are invited.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
