Praise on the Lawn!

It was going to be ‘Praise on the Patio’, partly in view of a visitor with an auto-immune health issue. But there were too many people for the patio, so we had ‘praise on the lawn’.

It was lovely to have new faces with us, and a shame they are soon to move some distance away. And another new face up from south Norfolk, though she has before when the Sunday meeting has been at Catfield.

I am getting a little rusty on guitar, so Bob and I are currently alternating. This was my week. We are to listen for the Lord during the meetings – and always! His word has ‘life’, and penetrates deeply (like a two-edged sword).

Thank you to those who contributed – testimony from Lisa, and from Stuart, and some scriptures from Daily Bread from Cliff (‘It is finished’ – and others on that theme), and meaningful verses from Frank, from Proverbs and John.

Mark and Michelle led communion, and Michelle encouraged us to dwell on the sacrifice of Calvary, and to be right with God before partaking.

We prayed for those absent through sickness, and laid hands on those asking for prayer in the meeting.

Our next meeting is the Thursday prayer meeting in Catfield. Next Sunday we meet in Frettenham.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
