Normal Christian Life!

So good to have the room full. So good to have visitors, including my daughter Naomi, husband Herman, and their 4 daughters. So good to have one of our carol service guests from the next village return this week for ‘first time at Liberty worship service’.

Praise and worship lively! One member said he sensed the Presence of God descend in power from the first song. Testimony of healing of Malcolm’s leg and Moira’s eye.

Wendy led communion.

Naomi spoke of her family living a normal Christian life in Amsterdam.

They were told that their area was not the place to bring up children! They are part of an ethnic minority – white European. But their normal Christian life – part of a church, having neighbours of all ethnicities and faiths into their home, visiting others, being part of a Bible study group, organising mother and toddler group, organising community meals – is in addition to their paid work. She spoke of a Libyan lady who they had contact with. A refugee, really, but middle class and working at the embassy. One result of this contact is that the lady has become a Christian. Now the lady is quite ill, but finding support from the Lord she has come to love, and his people.

We concluded with our theme song!

This Wednesday evening – New Year’s Eve party at our home. 6pm till late.

Next Sunday we meet in Frettenham.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
