In Spite of Bert!

Storm Bert was raging outside, with small branches and a carpet of leaves decorating our drive. Well done Bob, driving in from Reedham, and Cliff and Sue from Ludham, and others from Norwich.

A wonderful time of praise, and much participation. A sense of the presence of the Spirit, with prophetic word to reassure. ‘The storm raging outside, and fear of some that world war 3 may break out – the wrath of God in judgement on this world will be more dreadful, but for those who walk with him, Fear not. There is absolute security in Jesus.’

Barry H took us through Colossians 3, with a wealth of practical teaching. Be patient with others, never tell lies, and so many other exhortations, all covered by the commandment to wear love like a cloak.

Cliff led communion.

We prayed for those not present, that they would know the Lord’s presence with them.   Were there any who should have been with us? ‘Convict them Lord’, was prayed with just a suggestion of tongue in cheek.

We meet for prayer on Wednesday this week, at Catfield, 2pm.

13 have booked in for the Indian evening at ‘Merchants of Spice 2’. They have a car park, so people will have just a few steps to the restaurant. Please let me know by the end of this week if you wish to book in.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
