I Am With You!

It was lovely to have old friends joining us – some from the start of the meeting and some others towards the end.

Learning new songs can be a challenge, but we’re getting there, and the old ones go like a train.

Thank you to Ann, encouraging us to wait on God. Take time. Don’t hurry.

We looked at Haggai. The Lord told those who had repented, “I am with you”. But isn’t he always everywhere? What does it mean?

He is not ‘with’ the unsaved, or maybe the unrepentant. He is with his people. It means he is looking after us – protection, provision, guidance, encouragement, empowerment, joy, and everything that brings fulfilment. Let us step out into the week ahead in fellowship with the Father who is with us to bless us.

Thank you to Cliff for leading communion.

Thank to all who celebrated my forthcoming birthday with cake, etc!!

The next 2 Sundays we meet in Catfield.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
