He’s able to carry me through!

I have had a song going through my head (and coming out of my mouth) all week. It goes like this –

He’s able, He’s able, I know my God is able,

I know my God is able to carry me through. (repeat)

He heals the broken hearted and He sets the captive free,

He makes the lame to walk again and he makes the blind to see.

He’s able, He’s able, I know my God is able,

I know my God is able to carry me through.

We sang it this morning, and looking round, one could appreciate the appropriate nature of the song,. Which was why the Holy Spirit had me singing it this week, for the first time in 25+ years.

Almost everybody shared, with uplifting words and testimony from Barry H and Malcolm, and with Shirlene leading us in breaking bread together.

Wendy produced excellent chilli con carne and Lasagna.

Our next meeting is next week, same day, same place, same time. Do stay for lunch.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
