He Is Risen!

He is risen! And if Jesus did not rise from the dead, our faith is a waste of time. I’m so glad He is risen!

Our praise and worship centred on the resurrection. Bob put together a number of Easter songs, and the house reverberated with praise. Connie read Mark 16. In fact, everybody contributed in a number of ways, including prayer, tongue, interpretation, testimony, scriptures…

What does the resurrection of Christ mean for me? For all believers? Firstly, we read in Corinthians 15:20 that Christ rose first – and we shall follow, when He returns. We have a blessed, and interesting, eternal future to look forward to. Secondly, if God can give a dead body life, He can do so much to a live body. You. Me. People. Hebrews 7:25 tells us He can save to the uttermost. Don’t give upon the most difficult people. Or even on yourself. Thirdly, in Ephesians 3:20 we are told that God can do exceeding abundantly more than we ask or think. If He can raise a dead man, He can do ANYTHING.

Communion followed.

We closed with ‘He is Lord’, which was also the song we had started with.

Our next meeting is next Sunday, 24th April, in Frettenham.
