Regulars, irregulars, first-timers, saved and unsaved – we had some of each on Sunday morning, and so lovely to have a room full. Also, Steve Mott came as guest speaker, with his wife Elaine and son Gareth.
Several people remarked that the presence of God was almost tangible, with praise and worship probably heard by all passing (village people speak about the ‘lovely singing’ coming from our place Sundays), and thank you to Malcolm for leading communion.
Steve started by reading John 10.10. Jesus offers abundant life to those who will come to him. He spoke of the quality of life he had experienced since coming to Christ as a young man. Living by faith, planting churches, they experienced miraculous provision in times of need.
Steve read from 1 John 1.5 through to 1 John 2.2, and spoke of the completeness of forgiveness. Easter, the cross, the resurrection – don’t look back and feel condemned. Don’t doubt forgiveness. Steve preached powerfully on the complete nature of salvation, and at the close prayed for those who had sickness or other needs.
Wendy provided lunch for over 20, with a choice of 3 main courses and several puddings. People stayed and chatted, laughed and even prayed well into the afternoon.

We announced that having become aware of other small fellowships within the county, some of us were meeting on Monday evening. Everyone and anyone was welcome. The meeting took place yesterday (Monday) evening. Pete Gillett bought the windmill at Thrigby around 20 years ago, and has Sunday meetings in the attached barn. It was a good place to meet. A number representing small fellowship gathered (4 from Liberty), enjoyed fellowship, worship and ministry. It is good to identify as one Church, and together, we prayed for Norfolk.
Our prayer meeting this week is on Thursday at Catfield.
Good Friday – 10.30. A half-hour meeting followed by hot cross buns.
Easter Sunday. 10.30. A shorter meeting than usual, followed by chocolate eggs.
