Extend your borders!

It’s always a good time of praise and worship, and so not sorry for repetition! To worship is perhaps our primary calling, and in doing so, we find fulfilment, because we are meeting the only One Who truly fulfils us. Can you remember when ‘worship’ meant singing songs and hymns, and ‘praying’ meant saying prayers, or listening to others saying or reading them. Thanks to the grace of God we have reality.

Thank you to Shirlene for reading from an amplified Bible, and to Cliff for leading communion, and to all who prayed, encouraged and testified.

Barry H shared from the ‘prayer of Jabez’. We should always be looking to increase our borders – to grow in character, gifting, personality, influence, etc. Let us not become complacent.

After the meeting, many of us lunched together at the Hungry Horse (thank you to Michelle for organising), had tea/coffee at Mark and Michelle’s home, and went to the gospel concert at Soul.

The prayer meeting this week is on Thursday at Catfield, 2.30pm.

Next Sunday we meet in Frettenham, and the following two Sundays in Catfield.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
