Celebrate!

With several people away over the Bank Holiday, we were encouraged to have the room reasonably full. Our first song was ‘Holy Spirit, we welcome You’, and after a time of riotous praise, there seemed to be a very real presence of God in the room, with the exhortation to simply sit and soak. We did!

After Wendy led us in breaking bread, there were several words, and Barry H spoke from some verses in Ecclesiastes.

It will be Malcolm and Moira’s golden wedding anniversary on 10th, and Shirleen had baked a cake, which we all enjoyed after the meeting, and before Wendy’s delicious lunch of soups and breads.

Our next meeting is in Frettenham next Sunday morning. Do come, and do stay for lunch.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
