Carols and Mulled Wine!

‘Come and sing carols with us, Christmas Eve morning, for one hour’, was the invitation handed to friends in the village, and posted on the village notice board.

Just over 30 gathered in our sitting room, including several who had not been to any meeting here before. Thank you to Shirlene for organising, those who did readings, Cliff for keyboard and Bob for guitar, Connie for a poem, and Wendy for organising mulled wine and mince pies.

There were several productive conversations, and we hope to build on this meeting.

Our next meeting will be next Sunday morning, 31st January, in Frettenham. After that, Sunday meetings will be in Catfield and Stalham until late February.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
