Carols!

It’s nearly Christmas, and we have tried to use it for outreach. Wendy and I had a Christmas drinks party on Friday evening, and it was good to see new people coming in through our front door and enjoying time here. Not an evangelistic event, but to increase our interface with the world around us, and then to build on that. At another Christmas drinks party in the village last night, our faith was brought up by people we were speaking to and we each too opportunity to very briefly testify. Again, we seek to build on that.

We invited quite a number of people to join us singing carols round our log fire yesterday (Sunday) morning. Most of our regulars managed to make it, and there were 5 from outside the fellowship.

Thank you to Cliff, Shirlene and Bob for playing. Each was OK, but somehow, it did not work out. But it is Christmas, and I did remind everyone that this is Norfolk! A big Thank you too to those who read. Each was so clear and loud. Great! The time was followed by mulled wine and an assortment of mince pies, pork pies, sushi, buns, etc etc, and enjoying conversation with new people.

We wish everyone a truly blessed Christmas, and look forward to meeting up again next Sunday.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
