Be Prepared!

We usually start with praise and worship, but Michelle had such an encouraging testimony of real progress with a family situation. There has been much intercession with regard to this, and now the Lord is resolving the problem.

Which gave us even more reason to praise him, and we did!

Barry H had returned from Holly Bush, and shared some of the teaching on guidance. Routine matters of life are covered by the Bible (so read it and know it) but other things are not. Should I change career? Who should I marry? We can ask for specific guidance with such matters.

Barry gave several instances, by way of testimony, and led us in breaking bread.

Shirlene spoke from Matthew chapters 24 and 25 and Jeremiah 23. She brought out the serious nature of responsibility, anointing and teaching (Jeremiah 23.1-3). We must take great care not to misuse these privileges. In Matthew 24 and 25 we read of the return of Christ, likened to a burglar and bridegroom respectively visiting. The main thrust of these passages is – Be ready and be prepared. Be full of the Spirit and full of the Word. 

We closed with worship, and the after meeting fellowship continued for ….. a long time!

Prayer meeting is on Thursday, Catfield at 2pm.

Next Sunday we meet in Frettenham.
