A Lot to Praise the Lord For!

Are you like me? At the beginning of a meeting, I think about the good things the Lord has done, and want to praise him. And at the end of the meeting, I look back over it, and want to praise him. And so I do!

How good to have Bob back with us, and in good spirits. How good to have Sam with us for the first time, and the joy of having a 3 year old scurrying and rolling around the floor as we praised God.

Barry H thought that Ann was out when he called for her, and then she phoned to ask why he hadn’t picked her up. We had to laugh, and Barry H shot off to Catton and returned with her.

More to thank God for. Michelle’s dental visits had gone well. Phew – relief, and more to thank God for. Wendy L started by sharing a personal testimony of a concerning problem resolved – more to thank God for.

Thank you to Barry H for sharing from 1 Thes. 1, with a variety of encouragements and exhortations, and then to lead communion for us.

We prayed for a number of folk known to us with various needs.

Malcolm and Moira had asked whether the meeting could be held at Rackheath on Sunday 3rd August, and they would follow it with a barbecue to celebrate John A’s birthday, which would have been the previous day. Thank you, Malcolm and Moira.

So – a lot to thank and praise the Lord for.

There is no prayer meeting this week

Next Sunday we meet in Frettenham.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
