16th September 2018

If our fellowship was larger, people being away would have less of an impact. As one of our number has told us several times recently, “We need to be at the Sunday morning meetings, because that sets us up for the week ahead”. So true.

A few were not with us this Sunday, but the Lord brought in others. It was good to have ‘Blaze’ from Hungary with us again, and always good to welcome Christine. Dawn had not been before, and used to be an agent for Sonshine Christian Bookshop in Gorleston around 20 years ago. Not only was it good to have Dawn with us, but she also shared words of testimony and encouragement.

Thank you to Shirlene for leading us in breaking bread and sharing in testimony later. Wendy took the children out, and provided us with a great pork and apple pie for lunch.

Please continue praying for Tim and Anne. Tim continues on life support in hospital just outside Toulouse, but should be flown back to the UK soon.

Our next meeting is next Sunday, 23rd September in Frettenham, 10.15am for 10.30am.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
