Presence!

With several regulars away, on holiday or tending sick relations, it was a joy to have Cliff and Sue with us on Sunday morning. They had been before, to our Christmas meeting. Thank you to them for sharing into the meeting, and to Tim for leading us in breaking bread together, and for praying for my ear. (Which is improving all the time following surgery).

Sometimes one feels the Presence of the Lord, and then wonders, ‘Is it just me? Is it just wishful thinking?’ And so, when almost everyone remarks on the fact that the Presence of the Lord descended on us from the very beginning of the meeting, there can be little doubt that it is true.

Our next meeting is next Sunday 26th January, usual time, usual place.

Cosy!

It was cosy! Already people are going on holiday, and indeed we will be by next Sunday. Well, at conference.   After a time of praise, worship and prayer, Ann shared from Luke 1:37. With God, nothing is impossible. She further shared about the joys of fellowship, and that with Christians, regardless of denomination, we are family.   We looked at Psalm 84. Yes, how lovely to be in God’s presence. The Living God - He is alive, answers prayers, heals, changes lives. We looked at Psalm 87 - the family of God is family, and is drawn from all nations.   Wendy led communion.   Barry H took us through 1 Corinthians 13.   There is no meeting next week.
