He Is Risen!

A small, but happy joyful gathering, with loud praise and worship, and everyone contributing. Prayers for those unable to join us, and Cliff leading communion. Michelle handing out gifts, and Easter eggs for everyone.

We looked at the resurrection story as told by John in John 20. 

1. The story is true and past, and we can look forward to our own resurrection as per 1 Corinthians 15. But let us life the abundant life now.
2. Jesus called Mary by name. He does the same for us, and we each have a unique personal relationship with him, and gifts and call. Let us enjoy this, and make sure we use the gifts and walk in the call. Don’t reach end of life, look back and regret.
3. Jesus was about to ascend to the Father, and promised the Holy Spirit. Have you received the Holy Spirit? Don’t do a knee jerk ‘Yes’. Have you really? Let us sing in tongues, prophesy and generally move in the Spirit.

Our bring and share lunch was based on chicken curry (Shirlene), rices and samosas (Michelle) and a selection of puddings (Cliff and Sue).

Our next meetings is on Tuesday at the home of John Alam. The Bible Study will be led by Shirlene, and preceded by a selection of curries and rice, and it looks like the attendance will be excellent.

Next Sunday, ther meeting is at Frettenham, and Cliff will be speaking on the Middle East situation in the light of Bible prophecy. The meeting will be followed by a bring and share lunch based on pizza (I will supply). If you would like something other pizza, bring it! All welcome.
