Various!

After around 28 at the last meeting here, today was quite a contrast! But it was good to have Alfie back with us, the first time for a few months, and we forgive him for peeing on the carpet during communion.

Who should take communion? This issue was raised by a visitor recently, and in general terms – if you see Jesus as Lord, and the only way to the Father; if you are committed to him, and perhaps have been baptised or are looking to be, then you should. Otherwise, you shouldn’t.

We praised God, and Cliff and others prayed. Barry H shared from Lamentations (I had kicked off with chapter 3 – new every morning are your mercies)  and continued into John 9. Mercy rather than sacrifice, is required. 

Frank was on fire again, and read from Exodus 3, the call of Moses, and the name of God revealing his eternal nature.

Wendy L led us in communion. We gathered round Barry H, anointed him with oil, and prayed for health. His hearing and back have not been good.

A short prophetic word from Frank, and an inspiring testimony about turning down a lucrative contract because the Lord had told him.

Next week there is no meeting.
