All things work together… for good!

After a long drive yesterday, and an evening at Tesco, I was somewhat weary this morning. However, where the Spirit of the Lord is…. there is a whole lot of quick recovery! We had a room full of praise, with probably everyone contributing.

Ann spoke of the importance of ‘talking to God’. He is our Father, and likes to hear us open up to Him. And when we do, we find we hear Him speaking back to us,

Barry H shared about a recent driving incident. It was not what he wanted, but in view of Romans 8:28, he was thankful that the Lord could use it for ultimate good. He encouraged us to realistically view life’s experiences through this verse, and especially when things go wrong, or we face apparent unfairness.

We looked at Passover in Exodus 12, and saw that in so many ways, this was a picture of Jesus, and in particular, Calvary. We took the bread and the wine, and prayed for the sick amongst us.

There was an impromptu barbecue for those wanting to stay – and almost everybody did. A selection of meaty things, and a variety of salads. And cheese cake and Vienetta!

There was a little under 12 baskets full left over, which was taken away in doggy bags.

The next meeting is on Wednesday – prayer meeting at Catfield, 2pm.

The meeting next Sunday is at Frettenham.
